Tetracycline derivative antibiotics are well known phototoxic drug. The precise mechanism of tetracycline phototoxicity remains unknown, and tetracycline drugs showed negative reaction to Candida albicans and photohemolysis tests which were
simple

effective tools for the evaluation of the phototoxic potential of drugs.
